Cherry Wine Sorbet

My friends at Pentamere Winery in Tecumseh, Michigan, make a fabulous cherry wine. I love it so much, I like to make things out of it.

Today, we're making sorbet:

12 ounces water
24 ounces wine (or 1 bottle)
8 ounces sugar


Combine water and sugar in a saucepan over low heat. When the sugar is dissolve, remove from heat. Add wine, stir thoroughly, then freeze in your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.



This is going to be a great follow up to that Smoked Garlic Chicken!

What do you do with all the food after it's over? You're gonna need to throw a block party.
